i have two peaches on my new tree (planted last autumn) they have got to the size of golf balls, but seem to have stopped growing now, is the tree to young to fruit or is there some other reason, it has had plenty of water, it is called 'avalon'.

My tree is also new from last year and I have peaches on it - I removed some as advised and most of the others fell off.. this apparently is quite usual in a new tree.. The four I have been left with are now full sized and ripe..But I do have a west facing terrace so maybe I get more sun than you..The label said harvest the end of August - so mine are a bit early..I find this with most of my plants due to the sun I get....

thats very interesting, we are not in a specially warm spot so i will keep my fingers crossed and hope for some more sun, and better results next year, you certainly need patience to be a gardener, thanks very much.
