I put any spent compost in the compost bin and mix it up with some blood fish and bone. Works for me,or spread it over the soil and lawn. Don`t just throw it away, the worms will work their magic on it.

I usually either add it to the compost heap to help the other greenery rot down, add to the flower borders as a soiler improver, or use it as a light dressing on our lawns which always have a few sunken areas in them which need levelling out, I've also got three plastic sacks of compost I used this year to grow potatoes in. I'm putting my kitchen waste& lawn cuttings into the compost and mixing it around. Next spring, by which time everything in there will have rotted down, I'll add a bit of manure or some chicken manure pellets, and use them for growing different vegetables in. You can only do this if your compost hasn't grown diseased plants like tomatoes or potatoes which have been affected by Blight.
