I planted three cutting of clematis last september in separate pots .They grew to about eight inches tall but the leaves are wilting now.Have I lost them?I would be grateful for any suggestions .Thankyou

they should be taken in spring to allow them to take and grow over the summer before they go dormant. I would expect your cuttings have shut down over winter without enough root to keep going so making it difficult for them to survive. Tip them out of the pots and if you see fresh healthy roots then they may come back but if not then start again in May/June.

Beware Clematis "wilt"
Also, always plant deep (helps top prevent the above problem)
Don't plant out previous years cuttings .. grow them on a year in a pot first, without disturbing the rootball.
