Can anyone recommend one of these? I would like one with a bell push and a ringer that doesn't need to be plugged into a socket. I would like to be able to carry it around the house.
Thanks a lot.

Not much help, I know, but can only tell you NOT to get one like ours......it goes off whenever most neighbours' bellpushes are activated!
Was cheapo from Ebay,........made by Omega.

We have a Friedland (Bought from Argos, I think), but the "Bell" itself plugs in - saves on Batteries. I just take it with me and plug it in upstairs and it still works a treat. Haven't tried it outside though, but I reckon the range is that good that it would work OK.
We got one from Homebase - the main one does have to be plugged in, but then there's a remote bell with batteries which we take upstairs or in the garden, where we wouldn't hear the front bell.

I think mine is a Friedland one, we've had it ages, but it is one that has to be plugged in although I can take it upstairs. I don't know of one that can be carried about.

Marmitek door 'phone has proved very satisfactory if a bit pricey.
We don't have a doorbell. We don't need one. We have a dog.:-)

Thank you everyone. I have plenty of suggestions now. Ouzel's sounds just what I am looking for, but Boxtops suggestion is worth exploring.
@Tilly.......yep, why is it that the dog always thinks it's for them when someone comes to the door? ;)
