Floor Standing Reading Lamps.

We need a floor standing reading lamp, now that the darker evenings are upon us.

Any recommendations as there are so many out there? I did look at The Serious Readers website and the lamps seem very expensive. Is it necessary to buy a lamp with costs up to £399.00?

I have one of these from ikea. Was bought as a temporary measure, but I'm quite pleased with it.

I think my problem is that I want something traditional and functional. I need an old fashioned standard lamp with brilliant lighting. Anything slightly modern looking would be so wrong in the sitting room.

I shall have a look around. Will go for LED and a traditional look.
