Dry Cleaning Curtains.

How much would you expect to be charged for dry cleaning a pair of 90 inch drop, double width curtains?

I wonder, Tilly if it could be the ironing/pressing of curtains and linings that put up the price?

Reminds me of years back when I did am dram. We were using the stage in a church hall and the curtains were absolutely filthy. I mean really black.So we decided to get them cleaned.The dry cleaners would not do it ,stage curtains were too big. We found that we could fit one curtain in the largest washing machine in the local launderette so we washed the curtains one at a time. The washed curtains looked great , you could actually see the colour and the pattern again. But when we hung them back up, disaster ! They had shrunk by about 3ft. We had a large gap between the stage floor and the bottom of the curtains.

Hi Tilly, expensive curtains equal expensive care. I buy curtains between 50.00 and 60.00 a pair .. cotton/ polyester, lined .. 90 drop and wash/ iron myself.
