grease from kitchen tiles

hi,
i have just moved into a new house which needs a bit of work doing on it and woundered if anyone could tell me a fast and quick way on how to remove a thick build up of grease from the kitchen wall tiles, it is driving me mad

Sugar soap ..or soda crystals.
missyjo - Hand held steamer.
I'd go with the steamer too.
I agree with Shaneystar - a strong sugar soap solution. I've found this to be cheaper and more effective than many of the kitchen degreaser products on sale.

i will give anything a try, cheers 4 ya help, i will let ya know how i get on
If you're still having problems get a razor blade and just scrape it off, this works for limescale on bathroom tiles too.It's very ecological!!
