Can't sleep for worry
I told my dad I'd paint his bathroom for him and took him a colour chart today. Told him what I thought was nice and he agreed with me on one colour scheme so went and bought some testers and painted small squares on the wall. Now I'm having second thoughts about the colour scheme and it's ridiculous but I can't sleep cus of it!!
I really want to do something really good but now I'm not sure about the colour, I was all excited at the prospect of decorating it and was coming out with all these ideas and now I think my ideas were all wrong and the colour scheme is going to look old fashioned and I'm scared that I am failing before I even begin.
Just out of interest what colour are peoples bathrooms?

Thanks for your replies everyone.
Glad I'm not the only one that gets in this predicament and I know its silly to not be able to sleep lol I must be mad
Pasta you sound very good at this type of thing. I like your ideas.
Still don't know what I'm going to do, things always seem worse than they are at this time of night don't they? I will reassess in the morning.
I never realised it was so hard choosing colours for your home. God knows what I'll be like when I have my own place.
My computer is really slow so I will reply tomorrow if I don't get back to you tonight. Thanks everyone, I might be able to sleep now.....maybe xxx

Some years ago, I let my 14 year-old niece and her friends loose in my bathroom with paint and sponges. I had already painted the walls Dulux apple white (as that was the boring bit). The colours the kids chose were pale green, dark blue and lilac, which they sponged randomly on the walls. I have never changed it - I can sit and "read my newspaper" in a flower garden.
That sounds pretty annemollie.
Yes at least it will be clean and fresh crapmemory.
I have done one coat on the bathroom ceiling - took me 3 hourse last night. This is a bigger job than I thought and buit worried what I have taken on. Walls weren't the best round the top edges and couple of holes that need filling in plus there are a few hairline cracks in the ceiling. I just basically scraped the surface bits of roughness off and painted over but really I think it needed more preparation although my dad didn't seem too bothered.
Things like the wooden cupboard, bathroom door and skirting board that I thought I would be able to paint over, my mum said I would probs have to rub down first then paint so bit worried what I've taken on :oS
