nationwide bathrooms
Anybody got any reviews on Nationwide Bathrooms (web site) please? I want to order some bathroom furniture that is considerably cheaper on this site than on others, but found 1 review that said avoid at all costs! As order would be over £1,000, I would like to hear from anybody else who has ordered from this site, and were there any problems etc. Many thanks

Promised delivery time of 10 days came and went, no goods and no correspondence from them. After many unsuccessful attempts to get through to their "helpline" I resorted to cancelling the order. Prompt email reply from them confirming everything in stock except a shower screen and would I like it delivered with the screen to follow on when available. I agreed and the items were delivered. The bath was not as described on their website and although they agreed to take it back it would be at my expense and the packaging must not be damaged. How can you check the bath without damaging the packaging? Put that one down to experience and awaited the shower screen which did not arrive. Sent email asking for refund and was told that would be arranged and a maximum of 30 days would be need to refund my money after 35 days and no refund I started sending reminder emails, none of have been replied to and its now been 7 weeks. If anybody has experienced a "friendly and helpful" person at Nationwide bathrooms then they either were extremely lucky or they dreampt it. Avoid.
Pity I never saw all the bad reviews first, but maybe there will be better for me. Ordered a £1000 shower enclosure 10 working days ago. Rang yesterday and eventually spoke to a girl who said she didn't know when it would arrive but would find out and ring me later that day.
Odd that they don't have a way of knowing simply by looking at a screen.
Anyway the day came and went and she never rang me back. I'm going to chase her today.
I hate it when people promise to ring you and then don't. She also sounded as though she clearly didn't want to talk to me, so now a bit worried about them.
Strange, I would have though it was an obvious thing to do when running a business to have excellent customer service, it would pay back anything it cost many times over.
