nationwide bathrooms

Anybody got any reviews on Nationwide Bathrooms (web site) please? I want to order some bathroom furniture that is considerably cheaper on this site than on others, but found 1 review that said avoid at all costs! As order would be over £1,000, I would like to hear from anybody else who has ordered from this site, and were there any problems etc. Many thanks

Have not delt with this firm but i have with: Ideal plumbing supplies, pool dorset, very good service and delivery spot on time.

No experience of them either. But I'd agree you'd likely to be better off dealing through a specialist bathroom shop (a one-off, not a chain). They buy from the manufacturers of the units, as will Nationwide (who I doubt actually make everything).
That way you can look at the quality of the units (mainly doors and hinges to check out) and will offer you a discount off list prices.
One of the biggest manufacturers is this one (which I have purchased and they are good quality) - but they will only deal with the trade.

Nationwide Bathrooms helped us to create our dream bathroom, a friendly & very helpful lady called Kim helped us every step of the way, keeping in constant touch with us via email & phone, her product knowledge was excellent!
Our items arrived within the timescale they stated, even though we had a damaged item, that was sorted & replaced with no quibble.
An excellent company, who id recommend to anyone.

Avoid, I ordered a bathroom cabinet from them with an estimated delivery time frame of 10 working days, on the 9th working day they emailed to advise that they couldn't fulfil the order and would refund me, 2 weeks later I am still chasing and am using other means to get my refund. Their customer services advise that the refunds area do not have telephones, how very convenient for them that they are able to send emails advising that it takes upto 30 days for a refund! Absolute rubbish service.

AVOID!!
A friend of mine placed an order with nationwide bathrooms and the goods were faulty. They will not listen to his complaint and are certainly not refunding but trying to wriggle out on a technicality. Sale of goods act covers you and you have a right to a refund. Chase through credit card or small claims court.
Cheap for a reason, this company does not care.

Id been looking for 2 bathrooms for my new build for a while, i'd been in lots of showrooms and merchants but couldnt get the price i wanted to pay. Nationwide Bathrooms came up trumps!! They dealt with all the companies i had on my shopping list. I emailed asking for an overall quote, which was replied to the same day and was very competitive!! I then phoned to discuss a couple of items and was again impressed to find they had knowledgable staff on the phone line. I placed my order with them, asking for 2 deliveries as i couldnt really store 2 bathrooms, they agreed but still i only had one delivery charge. All my goods where delivered at a pre arranged time by their own driver. Order was complete and intact. I would highly recommend this company.

I would be very suspicious of the few glowing reports of excellent customer service from Nationwide Bathrooms. Promised delivery time of 10 days came and went, no goods and no correspondence from them. After many unsuccessful attempts to get through to their "helpline" I resorted to cancelling the order. Prompt email reply from them confirming everything in stock except a shower screen and would I like it delivered with the screen to follow on when available. I agreed and the items were delivered. The bath was not as described on their website and although they agreed to take it back it would be at my expense and the packaging must not be damaged. How can you check the bath without damaging the packaging? Put that one down to experience and awaited the shower screen which did not arrive. Sent email asking for refund and was told that would be arranged and a maximum of 30 days would be need to refund my money after 35 days and no refund I started sending reminder emails, none of have been replied to and its now been 7 weeks. If anybody has experienced a "friendly and helpful" person at Nationwide bathrooms then they either were extremely lucky or they dreampt it. Avoid.
