We recently had a flue liner put in the chimney to stop falling soot and brick particles, this has cured the problem but OMG does it echo, birds seem to sit on top of the chimney and continually hoot and move around and thats all you can hear. Is there anything we can do to stop this.
Thanks in advance

Perhaps you could insert some screwed up wire netting in the chimney stack so they can't sit on the top? Or, I think there are things you could buy do do the same thing.
You need to put a chimey cowl on top - this will also stop them nesting (if they haven't already!)

Finwoodhill, it has got a chimney cowl on top
It looks as if the birds can sit on your cowl. Perhaps you could change it to one that doesn't permit them to do that. You can get, for example, a wire cowl that's pointed, like a witch's hat.
