I am about to get a quote to replace SH with central heating and a combi boiler
Can I expect the plumber or gas engineer to remove the storage heaters and water tank or will (and who) I need to get someone else in to sort that out
Thanks in anticipation and Happy Easter

We had our central heating boiler changed last summer. Our plumber removed the boiler and water tanks and took them away.
As the tank will probably be made of copper and worth quite a few quid in scrap, then yes.
The plumber will take them and sell them at scrap merchants.

Thank you for your answers
I suspected there wouldn’t have been a problem with the water tank but was a little unsure as the house was built in 1990’s so not a very old one - my other house was a Victorian one with an ancient tank

Again - Many thanks for your answers
Was going to say about the tank - when I had mine removed I sold it for £70 to a scrap merchant. That was 19 years ago so prices have probably gone up. My electrician removed the storage heaters I had.
