Double Glazing
DOUBLE GLAZING - I have a standard 1930's 3 bedroom semi detached and am looking to replace all the windows and the kitchen door. I have had 4 quotes including a laughable one from Everest. The others use either 'Plastmo Index' or 'Duraflex' products.
The quotes are similar but I am wondering if anyone has knowledge of these products and information as to which is the better quality.

It doesn't really matter which product you use the main thing is to get a guarantee that the upvc will not discolour, some companies use recycled plastic and this will look yellowish within 10year.I should also get 2 or 3 more quotes before making a final decision.Don't be fooled by that advert BOGOF ,they were the most expensive when I had mine done.
I own a standard 1930's 3 bed semi also, and over the past 8 years we have had new double glazing, a new conservatory, new guttering & soffitts, and only last year had a new front door with windows, and all of this was carried out by the same company. I originally used them as they were recommended by a friend of mine, but even better was that they were considerably cheaper than any other quotes we had received. The workmanship is excellent and everything is guaranteed.
The Company is called Chiltern Home, and the contact email is [email protected]. They are located in Hertfordshire, but I am sure they do work all over the country.
