I've recently moved into a rented flat & my gas cooker sparker which lights the gas doesn't work in the oven and grill.

If the cooker came with the flat then you need to tell the agent - they will probably send some round first to see if it can be repaired.
Presuming the cooker came with the flat, yes. I have a place I rent out and the tenant contacts me via the letting agent for any problems like that
Is it connected to mains electric or does just the battery need replacing (usually just an AA)?
