No. If it's not included in your rent then you pay your share. Who's asking you to pay the full amount?
I afraid that you have a problem then, if you are living in a student house. Houses occupied by students are not liable to pay council tax but as soon as one of the tenants becomes a non-student the whole of the house becomes liable for the tax. Because there is just one non-student (you) in the house, a 25% reduction will apply, but there is no way around avoiding it.
Technically each of the residents becomes liable for a proportion of the bill, you stand little chance of persuading the others to pay.
I know about this as it happened to my son - in a student house where one of the students dropped off the course mid-year and started working but continued with the tenancy - the house became liable for council tax

The council have sent me a bill for the total. Now my employees own the house, and i didnt realise the implications when signing for it. now it appears i have to pay all, i am a one day a week student doing a degree
If you are a student too though, some different arrangements may apply. Check with the council, it could be that your landlord should pay and pass on a proportion to you?
id phone the council and ask.

I had own flat and was staying at Mr CRXs 3-4 days a week and commuting. He contacted his council about the council tax and they said that if i was paying on my own property then theyd not increase his (he had the 25% discount)
I agree there is no harm in asking the local council, but I fear you are not going to be able to sway this one. You didn't mention your one day per week learning in the original question but clear 'rules' apply to that as well, I'm afraid, and you need to be classified as a full-time student at an approved college. Most of the 'evidence' to support my answers can be found here.

Now you have also told us that your employer actually owns the house, I'd be inclined to go back there to make your case that the employer should be picking this up. Many years ago as a 5 year-out-of-uni graduate I lived in a house whose tenancy was held by my employer. In it were a mix of full time apprentices, students doing their industrial training plus me - a non-student just using the room Monday through Friday during the week whilst I sold up my house and moved over with Mrs Buildersmate. There never was any question that I would be paying the council tax - it was part of my relocation package.
