My neighbour has an Ash tree right on the boundary. This tree is over 30 years old now. The roots have caused humps and hollows in my drive and I want to retarmac. Undoubtedly some roots will have to come out, but will any left in merely create problems
in future or are the roots of a tree this age pretty static now? How drastic can root removal be for an Ash without killing the tree? Any advice appreciated.
