My sister mentioned to me earlier on that she had noticed 20-30 perfectly circular shaped dents in my wall which I have just looked at, they look as though the wall has been shot multiple times with a BB gun or similar. Originally I thought someone could have been shooting the wall with a BB gun through my open window but after thinking into it more, i've realised that this is not possible due to the angle they would have to be at to be able to shoot the particular wall, especially as it's a first floor room! I am really confused now and cannot figure out where they have come from and wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what they might be. they are all within a metre of each other and the majority of them are within 30cm. Please can anyone think of where they may have come from, if it makes a difference, they are about half a metre above the head end of my bed and almost directly opposite the window (which doesn't get opened often apart from the other day and even then, it wasn't opened much, only a couple of inches.)
benny is the paint/wallpaper damaged where the dents are? just looked at the pic again and it looks smooth and undamaged. Surely a pellet would have cracked paper or taken off paint... its aliens i tell ya ;)
maybe the dents are behind the paper and its just sunk into them?
Could have been caused by studs on clothing. Are they at a height where this is possible if you are sitting on your bed with your back against the wall?
Is it possible that either a child or an elderly adult has been knocking on the wall with a stick or toy to attract attention from someone in the adjacent room?
How long have you lived in that house and have you ever decorated that room and stripped down to the plaster??
I would guess that someone has removed some nails from the wall and tried to fill the holes with filler before overpainting. That can shrink and leave dimple marks such as you have described.
