Something weird is happening!

My sister mentioned to me earlier on that she had noticed 20-30 perfectly circular shaped dents in my wall which I have just looked at, they look as though the wall has been shot multiple times with a BB gun or similar. Originally I thought someone could have been shooting the wall with a BB gun through my open window but after thinking into it more, i've realised that this is not possible due to the angle they would have to be at to be able to shoot the particular wall, especially as it's a first floor room! I am really confused now and cannot figure out where they have come from and wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what they might be. they are all within a metre of each other and the majority of them are within 30cm. Please can anyone think of where they may have come from, if it makes a difference, they are about half a metre above the head end of my bed and almost directly opposite the window (which doesn't get opened often apart from the other day and even then, it wasn't opened much, only a couple of inches.)

What diameter are these dents? Are they all the same size?

All about 2mm diameter although some are 1-1 1/2 mm but less deep, which is what led me to the BB idea.

If they had been BB shot you would find all these on the floor.

That's what i thought, and I have looked everywhere i can think they would have landed but cannot see any.

Looks like pellet marks to me from an airgun, not BB's

ive got an airgun pellet hole on my back door, its quite a bit bigger than those look.

Is the wall plaster or plasterboard?

wall-circles, like crop-circles

they do look like a small airgun pellet.

I'd have to investigate further, strip the paper off perhaps its some sort of insect doing the damage, count the dents see if any more appear.
