I hate ironing and I'm seriously thinking of contacting one of those 'We do your ironing' companies.
Have you ever used them or know someone who has, and are they expensive?
I used to have a gardener craft but then I bought that artificial grass so he is now redundant.
What I really need is a man about the house that will do ALL the chores but haven't found one up to now.
Yes Mrschappie I haven't had it long so I'm still getting used to it.
Oh well as the saying goes, it won't iron it itself so I'd better make a start.
Keep thinking about putting an ad in the paper now for a handy man who does domestic chores perhaps a Mrs Doubtfire!
When I married the first Mr Craft we lived with his parents whilst we saved up for our own house. My delightful MIL decreed that besides helping with the cooking, baking, and cleaning that my job should be the ironing.
As that involved 14 work shirts a week plus her and her daughter's clothes I have hated ironing ever since.
I don't iron anything either. I wash the clothes and shake them as I take them out of the machine. I shake then again once they're dryand fold them up.
The key is to fold them really neatly as you take them off the line or out of the dryer, that way they won't crease then and you'll have no need for an iron.
Do you mean a tumble dryer maidup?
I know some people who have one and they say there is no need to iron but unfortunately I don't have one and have no room for one ;-(
I've tried folding or hanging straight off the line or out of the dryer, it doesn't work for my OH's work shirts. Even when I've steam-pressed them, they still don't look brilliant. :o(
craft....Not only do I remember and have used the irons to which you have referred, there was also the wooden roller clothes mangles. In fact you could put some thing through the manger and not then need to iron them. They were wonderful for keeping a crease in trousers.
