Cleaning Lavatory

I have tried everything to make the loo (below the water surface) spotless but to no avail. It's pretty bad, can anyone help???? Thanks.

A tip from a tv programme was to put a couple of denture cleaning tablets in overnight, usually does the job. :)

You could put your dentures in the bowl at the same time and kill two birds with one stone

Have you tried using denture cleaning tablets with some warm water and then leaving it overnight? That seems to work with most things.

Now, I needed to remove all the paint from some old handrail brackets and have discovered from that nice Google that soaking them for as long as you like in a strong detergent solution lifts the paint off. So if this will work for layers of gloss paint, it must work on the potty lining. I am currently using laundry liquid and a plastic bowl.
The secret must be to use an alternative receptacle for the duration, as flushing the detergent solution away will mean you have to start from scratch.
