Motion operated outdoor light

I have an outside sensor operated light which covers my back garden as far as the garage and is coming to the end of its life. It is a 500 (??400 halogen) watt. Can anyone recommend one for me that would be fairly weatherproof (I live near the sea with frequent winter storms).
Most I have looked at have a flimsy wall attachments hat would invariably rust.

I guess what would suit best would be a plastic housed unit where the fixing screws are inside the fitting.......... then the body (with the lamp) are fitted over that.

No brackets needed. There are so many. It's rather like anything else, Anne, use your own judgement as to quality and sturdyness. Avoid the cheapest. You'll find what you need. Above the cheapest price, they are all well waterproofed and durable.

I think I may well go to a traditional hardware supplies shop in the main town and ask them what model they would advise.
Stupid that I didn't think of this earlier!

Firstly does the light to be as bright as the halogen? Halogens do not come in plastic house due to the operating temperature of the lamp. Try LED floodlight instead, cheaper to run, much longer life
If floodlighting is not required, there are plenty of IP rated fitting are available
