Old Internet Router And Cables

Our ISP sent us an updated router and new cables. We cannot think what to do with the old one and its power cable (and the yellow cable that came with it). Can anyone suggest if there is any use for it? Charity shops won't take electrical stuff but we don't want to throw it out with the rubbish.
