Smoke Alarms Keep Going Off!!!!

Anyone out there know why my smoke alarms keep going off for no apparent reason? 5 times last night while the wife and i were asleep, and around 13/14 times the other day whilst watching TV and no cooking was taking place, batteries have been checked, they are wired up to the mains, it's getting infuriating and i never hear the neighbours alarms going off.

Are they Aico...try blowing hard into the detection chamber on the front and vacuuming out at the same time...if the chamber becomes dusty they will beep or go into full alarm.Failing that you may have to swap at least one unit.

You know, I assume, that they are linked together, so if one goes off it sets off all the others? This means it is going to be just one suspect one, but it is sometimes hard to work out which.
Condensation due to low temperatures can be an issue; is there one in an unheated and damp room?

If there are any in cold areas remove them from the base and put them in a warm area for a while to see if it solves the problem.
