Hello, hoping you knowledgeable people can help. Are boiler pressure has shot up to 3.5 this morning and sometimes goes to 3.8. Usually it stays between 2-3 and im worried its not good, please help xx
Generally the cold pressure would be around 1.5 bar rising to 2 bar when hot.The fluctuations you describe may need investigation depending on the boiler.Contact the installer.
deggers..we are talking about the pressure within the domestic central heating system .If yours was running at 9 bar the prv's would be quite audible....
Usually the boiler has a gauge showing the pressure and is coloured low1 red green middle and high 3 red if the needle goes significantly into the high red you don’t have to worry too much because the relief valve will release any over pressure.
I had the same problem and I called the engineer out and that’s what he told me.
