Any ideas what I can use to banish the musty smell from a handbag I've not used for a while... it's not leather. Thanks all ideas welcome.

Bacarb left in it overnight?

Fabreeze it?

Peg it outside to 'air'?

Thanks B00. The smell seems to be from the outside of the bag.. the material is polyurethane.
Bicarbonate of soda ..shake it about and leave for 24 hours... then hang outside to blow..
My suggestion: simply using it regularly might do the trick. The opening and closing, putting things in and taking them out, would help. After all, if not using it has caused it to smell a bit whiffy, then the opposite - namely, using it - should shift the smell.
I've had good luck with either ground coffee or coffee beans (all dry, of course) in a cheesecloth bag placed in the handbag... removes mustiness and leaves a pleasant 'coffee house' fragrance...
