Non abrasive cream cleaner....or hob brite..

Yeah..special cream from hardware store AND a cleaner that has a blade (from Lakeland for example) which will scrape gunge off without scratching the top ..Brilliant!

Plastic spatula will do for shifting any gunge !

I swear by Hob Brite have used it for years.

Lakeland do a thing called Daily Hob Cleaner (I think that's what it's called anyway). I've never used it (no, it's not that I don't clean the cooker, I've got a Rayburn!) but a friend of mine swears by it. She says it's the best cleaner she's found.

A glass scraper and a tub of Astonish will do the business for you.

I've always had ceramic hobs, now on my third in 26 years! I use hob brite and sometimes I wipe over with vinegar to bring up a nice shine. I also have an old style razor blade which has one sharp side the other has a metal plate to hang onto which I use to remove any burnt on food. Lakeland also has a tool that does this, they also have little sponge tools that can get right in and around the controls as they can get quite grubby. (you can also get those from Kleeneze)
