What is the best way of dealing with it. Have tried, several times, to dig it out, but it seems to come back, stronger than ever. Area is abut 9 feet sq.
Am contemplating sacrificing all the "welcome" plants in this area and spraying with a STRONG weedkiller. Any thoughts, suggestions? Thank you.

I reckon you may have to take the aggresive approach with glyphosate or the like. When I used to help with the gardening club at the kids school, getting rid of this stuff the 'green' way just didn't work, as fast as you got rid of one lot up another would pop.
Awwww, thread title promised so much!

:-(
To irridicate it in my allotment I covered the whole area (40sq mts) with old carpet & left it for a year. Any bits that poked out were zapped with glysophate. You could dig out the plants and pot them up.
I'd have to comment on the name as well... seems to this untrained Colonists ear to be so 'veddy' British.

Although, here in the western U.S. we're constantly fighting "Leafy Spurge"... it follows water courses mostly in arid areas on ranches...
