Help Im Being Eaten By Midges!!

Please please please help, I live in rural ireland and we are inundated wit midges. I cant enjoy my garden as I am being eaten alive. Has anyone got a tried and tested solution! I would be so grateful. Thanks louise. X

Oil of lavender helps(wear it like perfume) and citronella candles help a bit.

Avon skin so soft. The original dry oil body spray. I use it every day between April and October as I got sick and tired of being bitten to death every summer. Now, instead of having maybe 30 bites at a time I get one or two a summer. A vast improvement!

The Avon tip is good but if the little beggars do get to you try "Anthisan" cream to get rid of the itch. It's an antihistamine which sooths really quickly. you can get it in most chemists.

No matter - you can always buy skin so soft from sites like eBay, that's where I bought my last lot.

Avon's Skin So Soft didn't work for me and it's not actually marketed as a repellent. I use Boots own repellent which has 50% DEET in it, the stuff the Aussies use. (Its the silver can not the yellow can which only has 25% DEET i think). It's very strong and feels a bit gloopy when on but trust me nothing gets through it. Plus you can get it mch easier and quicker than online.
