Best Flooring For A Log Cabin?
9 Answers
We've just installed a 22 x 16 foot log cabin in the garden. Does anyone know the most suitable (and inexpensive) flooring? Obviously it would need to tolerate a wide range in temperatures.

I would consider wood but it's expensive and I thought alternatives may soften the tin box feel, ie reduce noise. There won't be much soft furnishing. But I agree it would look authentic and when you have spent plenty on a nice building.... I had thought of vinyl as there are some good options these days but I wasn't sure if it would warp with the temperature changes: it isn't recommended for conservatories. That said it won't suffer the same extremes as they can. The walls are pretty thick and the windows are double glazed. Will consider your suggestions and report back. Thanks all.
