It's the frost evaporating, tinks.
Got the same thing here tinks. Hard frost overnight and the grass is still white; sun out so fence is "smoking".
Steam surely.
I thought you were talking about your fiancee. Must get my lamps sorted.
e.g. if the sun is shining on the frost, it melts. The water starts to evaporate. If the air temperature is lower than the water temperature, the evaporated water then condenses in the air and is seen as 'smoke'

Aaah thank you all i was just wondering!

I liked it! Very mystical lol never seen that before x
What go's up must come down, they say.

That steam/water vapor, will fall as rain somewhere.
I think its falling here, right now!
Steam at atmospheric pressure has a temperature of 100C so it isn't steam. What it is, is water evaporating under the heat of the sun and then condensing in the cold air to give a mist/fog. Just being picky :o)
I like smokey frost. ;)
