Anyone know how to clean a feather/down duvet?
Hubby put his chest drain on the bed, and it leaked the contents onto the bed.

It looks like a trip to the launderette, ferlew. Would it be better to buy a couple of cheap, synthetic ones whilst Mr F is recuperating?

I always take my feather duvets to the dry cleaners

Good idea Tilly2, I will pop and buy a cheap one, I don't think there is a launderette nearby. Maybe I should bite the bullet and get it dry cleaned.
For the cost of getting a down duvet dry cleaned you can probably buy a polyester filled one that will be washable and last longer.
Synthetic duvets are certainly chap but they're also very nasty to sleep under. Get your feather and down one dry-cleaned.
I always get my feather one dry cleaned. Yes, it may cost as much as buying a poly filled one, but unless you've slept under a feather one you don't know how nice it is!

OK, I am sorted.
I remembered I had 2 M&S all seasons singles in the loft. Got them out and aired them, will be using those until Mr F is in full health.
Rang the dry cleaners just now, £20 for a specialist 3 stage cleaning, I have to mention the spillage and they will apply a pre clean treatment.
Beats £160 for a new one.
