Can anyone recommend a good mould remover please.
I have some black spots appearing on the plastic seal of my shower, and need to remove it.
I tried a bit of Cif on a scourer, but all it's done is rub away at the rubber sealant.

Any ideas?

Many thanks :-)

My wife says this:
dip an old tootbrush in neat bleach and brush lightly on the affected area. Then leave it alone; do not wipe it or rinse it.
...or you may care to use a toothbrush. A tootbrush isn't much use!
i'm getting this tomorrow, Kilrock Blast Away Mould Spray Cleaner, hope it works!
I do what bookbinder's wife does with great results.

That's great, and something I have to hand too, so thank you :-)

I'll go try the bleach now. It's only a small area, so hopefully it will do the trick.
May have to buy a new toothbrush though, as I don't think I have a spare :)

If it doesn't work, I'll have a look at your suggestion, thanks bernie.
I save most of my tooth brushes for doing these sort of jobs when they get a bit too soft or worn out. They do come in handy.
buy a mould and mildew remover spray most poundshops and supermarkets do these
Tried and tested , it is the best ,around £3 worth every penny

Quick update: The bleach worked, kind of.
It got rid of most of the black marks, yet some still remain - and I have no toothbrush :D
Thanks very much for the replies. Muchos appreciated. x

Quick question, and as it's the same subject I feel it would be best suited to just add it to this thread, but is it fairly simple to replace the rubber sealant that runs alongside the bath/shower?
