Not Happy With Washing Machine

Got a new washing machine about two weeks ago but I am not happy with. I follow the instructions and put it on to wash at 30 c with a 1600 spin. Sometimes it's fine but sometimes the clothes don't feel 'spun' enough. For example, tonight I washed four big towels and when they came out they felt too wet, but when I just span them at 1600 they came out much drier. Should I contact the manufacturer or the people we bought it from (over the Internet)?

I've had a new machine for about a month,I chose the least complicated one I could find but I still miss my old one.

Ok - what's a balanced load? If I chuck a towel in with little people's clothes it's not going to be balanced but four (exactly the same) towels aren't balanced either.
It's when the machine is full, sherr. It's volume rather than weight.

Good grief, be easier to take the clothes down to the stream and beat them with a bloody rock!
Its so clothes can spread around the tumble during the spin

Head - desk - thud!
Hahaha Sher, get OH to wring them out
There is a little black spot on my screen which made...bloody rock...turn into
bloody rook.....I was really worried about you, Sherr....well and the birds in your area.

I'll pop in tomorrow to see if you have read the manual.... ;-)
I bet Camilla would read the handbook ?
Question Author
Ok, to read the manual I will have to find the manual (I've put it somewhere safe (in case I need to read it). Camilla wouldn't need to read it as she probably has a lady what does.
Modern machines have anything up to 50 wash programs , even the most basic new ones have 10 or 12 programs. You HAVE to read the manual and work out what ones are best for what you need. There is probably a special program for towels, There are machines that have separate programs for jeans and shirts for example.

Sorry sherrardk but reading your post with its replies made me smile today, it also made me wonder if I'm expecting to much of my washer on a quick wash and after 4 years I am going to re read my manual before blaming my washer.

Good Luck and hope you get past the wash day blues lol
