Hairline Cracks

In some of my rooms there are hairline cracks. What is the best and easiest way to fill them in? TIA

Before filling them try making them slightly bigger by running a filler knife or something along each one so that the filler has something to adhere to . Otherwise the filler will just sit on top of the crack and come straight back out when you paint.

Prepare as shedman says, then if you can get some of this http://www.british-gypsum.com/products/gyproc-easi-fill. I use it instead of polyfilla.
