Bathstore?

has anyone used this firm to supply and fit a bathroom please? Are they good or has anyone better suggestions? Getting bog eyed looking at brochures and am quickly going off the idea. Does anyone regret getting rid of the bath, which we are thinking of doing. We have a small bathroom -8'11" x 5'7" (sorry don't do metric :0( ) and are desperate for storage space.Any ideas/suggestions gratefully received -rosy

I would never get rid of the bath....we both dislike showers.

We bought our bathroom and cloakroom suites from them 7 yrs ago & are pleased with it all. One of the clips(?) on our shower sliding door broke a while back & they sent us a new one for free. I would recommend them. We didn't get them to fit it though.

Sounds like your present bath is across the window, Rosy. 5'7" will take a standard 1700mm bath.

Bath, basin, and WC would all fit nicely in that space. Think about using a "shower bath". Slightly different shape plus a ribbed area in the bottom where you stand under the shower.

Use a glass shower door over the bath. A bi-fold one if space is tight.

One good tip for small bathrooms is to re-hang the door to open out. This helps get the basin nearer the door. It also saves having to walk around the door.

Thank you for those replies and suggestions :0) I haven't heard of those panels Tonyav, they look interesting. No, builder, the WC and basin are under the window at the 5'7" end and the bath is on the long wall with the taps at the other 5'7" end with the door next to the bath. We probably will end up with the kind of shower you describe as it would be less upheaval but as the basin has a slight crack in it we thought it would be better to renew the lot, and as Mr Posy has arthritis I am concerned that maybe in the future he will have difficulty getting in and out of the bath-just trying to plan ahead also if we did take the bath out I would have room for a cabinet thingy to take towels etc. Decisions, decisions........thank you all again -rosy

I'm expecting an order from Bathstore to be delivered tomorrow and they have emailed me this afternoon asking if I'm still happy with that or do I want to change delivery days. So all looks good so far. If there's no delivery tomorrow I'll let you know. Not having them install though.

Had an email and a text saying within the hour when it will arrive and still saying I can change the delivery if I wish. I shall report back after the hour has gone or if it arrives whichever is the sooner.

I got rid of my bath a couple of years ago and now have a lovely shower - no regrets!

i couldn't bear getting rid of my bath - we have an over-bath shower, and a storage chest to sit on, which helps with space issues.
