Anyone got any tips on keeping your fridge smelling nice? (Apart from washing it out every day). Thanks.

Put a smallish amount of bicarbonate of soda in an open container in your fridge; it absorbs nasty niffs. I've also heard that a half-cut lemon will work.

How do you get the lemon drunk, Del?

Seriously, half a lemon in a small dish of bicarb. Or, if you want to be flash you can buy a fridge deodoriser in most kitchen stores - its shaped like a small egg.

Not shaped like a big egg then Ursula?

Here's a tip: stinkyfridge

also a peice of charcoal is good at absorbing sm,ells, its what many of the shop bought ones have in them
Yes those all work, but one of the most important things is to keep smelly food in airtight containers!

Thanks for all replies.
You can get these little fridge deodarisers.  They are shaped like eggs and can sit in your egg compartment (mine has a hook so you can hang it).  They stop the fridge from smelling.  Done the job for me.  They're only about 1.50...I've seen them in lots of places and would imagine a supermarket would do them.  Got mine from John Lewis.

Thanks for that - I've seen those egg-shaped deodorisers in the supermarket and I wondered if they worked.
