Bought some lilies in pots that I planted into the garden earlier this year.
The ones the slugs did not get were lovely but have now gone
Should I did up the bulbs and store to re-pot next year - if so how?
Same advice as above for Lily of the Valley please
Lots of creatures love to eat lily bulbs over the dormant period so by all means dig them up. If the scale leaves fall off the 'bulb' you can produce new plants from them so don't throw them away.
If you are going to dig up your lily bulbs I would let them dry out naturally and store in a frost free area over winter. Lily of the Valley is a different matter. I would leave it where it is and wait for next spring. Chances are it will have spread and you may end up having to dig some of the bulbs out or they will take over your entire garden.
