lily bulbs

I wonder if someone could advise me what to do about my lily bulbs. I bought them about October last year and the instructions said to plant them. They started to grow but the bad weather came and they died down. I have dug them up and although the bulbs seem to be quite plump and firm all the roots have rotted. I don't know what to do with them now
