Can anyone tell me how to keep flies out of the bedroom? They wake me up every morning way before my alarm goes off for work, and it's driving me insane. Any ideas?
Obviously keeping them out as has been suggested would be a start, but flies need moisture otherwise they dehydrate and die. That is why in the dry parts of Africa small children seem to be covered in them. So what worked for me when I lived in a caravan ,don't leave any water available for them to drink. No dripping taps, no puddles in sinks, keep lids on loos, in fact no water anywhere. They come into the house and they die !
Got inundated with flies last week. Opened all the widows and flapped a tea towel frantically. To the hardware store where I was recommended Vapona window stickers (look like small sunflowers, about 3" diameter, stick them towards top of a preferably sunny window. Supposed to last 4 months. Will let you know). Also bought fly papers and fly spray. Home to find only 2 flies in entire flat! Still, prepared for the next invasion.
I swear by Red Top fly traps, bit difficult if you are in a flat though, hang mine outside the kitchen door, they are attracted by the stink of the mixture ,fly in through a mesh funnel and can't escape.....at around £10 they are a bit pricey, but they DO work. Check them out on Amazon.
