Smeg Oven

Our Smeg oven has stopped working on just the oven function but works on the grill and oven function button. This is a pain as when cooking we cannot put anything on the top shelf as it burns it. Any ideas what may be wrong with it? Thank you.

My guess would be that the oven element has failed.

Sounds like the oven element has died.

Is the fan/s working?
If it is the main element - not too hard to replace if you're handy with a screwdriver and can navigate yourself around Ebay to buy a new one.

Yes the fan is working.

If the oven element heats on oven/grill setting then the elements OK. Could be your switch on oven only setting is not working
