Think My Dryer Has Packed Up

My dryer is driving me nuts. It keeps stopping and the door pops open. I had the technician in to have a look but he was useless and just said I was overloading it. Idiot. I have been washing and drying for 40 years, I know perfectly well not to overload it or the washing machine. Anyone have any idea ? or is off to the sales for a new one.....damned thing has just stopped again.

It's an AEG TR7800. had it a few years

No, lady, the technician checked the catch..now it doesn't start at all

AEG do not regonise TR 7800 as a model pls check again

The first thing to try is a cold reset ie turn it of at mains leave for at least 10 mins and turn on again

I think I will have to unplug it. Here in Spain the sockets don't have switches

Yes unplug Sam did,nt realise you where in Spain, you just need to take the power away, BTW save an piece of naan bread for me
