Can you buy clear, plastic corner protectors for painted walls. I have looked for them but all the ones I found are coloured plastic.

I want clear, transparent ones.

Thanks for both those links, Mamya. Just what I'm looking for. I never think to look on Ebay! :-)
Why not try the same profile but in wood. You could then paint it to match the walls. Looking at the price of the plastic ones, it would work out much cheaper.

That sounds sensible, Melv. Any link for where to get that, please.
Your still going to see the screws though, Yilly. Unless you use melv's idea.
Good alternative from Melv there, Tilly. Except that knocking it would chip the paint, so you'd be back to square one.

Halfway down the page.
Go into any DIY shop & you should be able to buy it over the counter. B&Q and Home base sell it as well. I had to protect all the corners in a house where the owner was in a wheelchair. If they caught & damaged it, all that was needed was a quick repair & a coat of emulsion.
Mr Saxophonist beat me to there ;-)

Thank you all for your help. Actually, white plastic might be ok as it's for the recess around the white front door.
It's very sad when you lose a sibling, or anybody close for that matter. My brother died 18mths ago, then my best mate died last year, then, finally my mother died in Feb. You've got tough times ahead but I'm sure you'll get through it...my thoughts are with you.
Whoops wrong thread^^
