Can anyone out there offer any advice what we can use on our front driveway to get rid of the green moss, which seems to have taken hold after this very wet spell. Normally we use a mixture of disinfectant and water, but as it's such a large area, wondered if there is something else?? Hope you can help, many thanks, best wishes, Chox.

Jeyes Fluid?
I use a product called "Dairy Hypochlorite" for my patio.
It's roughly £15 - £20 for a 25 litre drum.
I won't use anything else now - not even my power washer; as this once removed a green patch that my power washer wouldn't remove.
The first time I used it, I brought my neighbour round to show her - it literally came up like new .... I can't rant on enough about it .... and no I'm not on commission lol :)
Salt?
I've never had any stains, moss etc on my drive that the pressure was unable to shift.
as gizmonster says, dairy hypochlorite cleans virtually anything. iv'e been using t for 35+years and swear by it. brilliant for 'green concrete' as well. some people dilute it but i always use it neat in a watering can with a rose with small holes
Soda Crytsals, about 70p a packet.

Shake a couple of packets over the drive, or however much it takes to cover the area reasonably generously. Leave for a couple of days. If it hasn't rained within 24hours then damp it down with a watering can. The moss will go black and can then be brushed away.

Gizmonster and Paul - do you just apply it and leave it to work. Do you rinse it of after?
should've added avoid splashes on clothes, it'll ruin a pair of jeans in no time
margo tester, with concrete i pour it on leave for 30 mins or so then hose off. on tarmac with moss i usually pour on and leave overnight then sweep with a stiff broom, it'll be interesting to see what gizmonster says he may have an easier way
Thanks Paul. Our patron is surrounded by flower beds, will it kill the plants?
^ flaming auto correct should read patio
Where do you buy Dairy Hypochlorite from?
Barsel - just had a look on line. You can get it from Gloves4less £20.76, I guess there will be a deliver charge.
I dilute mine - can't remember exactly, but I think I dilute it 1 part DHC and 5 parts water .... ish.
I use a watering can to apply it. I usually brush it in - no need for vigorous brushing, just brush it to agitate it. I then leave it for approx 30 mins then rinse off with a hose .... comes up a treat and a lot less effort than using a pressure washer.
Thanks Margo, I'll check it out.x
Have used Amillotox which I found to be excellent.

Margiotester this is where you'll know more than me , it is just a strong bleach but I'm no gardener I used to sweep it off the concrete onto th grass, it soon recovered but I wouldn't know about flowers
The best thing to use is bio soap powder was told this tip and works great just sprinkle it on and leave.
barsel, if you're in a rural area, any sort of agricultural supplier.
