How Do I Get Tannin Stains Out Of Mugs

Hi there
I have really huge tannin stains on my favourite mugs and I was wondering how I can get them out?

Why is it that some peoples cups stain and others don't? My cups have never stained....

Probably because you use a scourer and you wash your cups out after using them. and stoneware do stain quicker than ceramic but that's not the point lol

Nylon scourer and Cif cream.

Nylon scourer, squeezed hard, while rotating the mug through the pinch point. No harsh chemicals required. No visible scratching of the mug but it's a glazed surface, so you wouldn't expect that, anyway.

We use Astonish all purpose cleaner shifts it every time within seconds.

Some water with bleach in it. Let it stand until the stain has gone, then rinse thoroughly in hot water.

If I have mugs that stain I chuck them out and by mugs that don't stain.

A tiny bit of washing powder and boiling water, just leave it to soak.

leave in a bowl with bleach solution..I do this every night and also put in dish washer brush and any cloth..and rinse out with hot soapy in the morning...

The bleach removes the colour but not the surface deposit that holds it so it discolours again quickly.

That's why I use a nylon scourer and a cleaner to take that off.

Leave the stains alone: They add character to the mug, and make the tea taste better.

Dash of bleach, top up with cold water, leave a few hours, rinse well
