Its not too late smowball. I pick mine at 4-6" as I dont like them stringy & they keep growing till frost......

Ooh I might still be ok then. Couldn't remember when I normally plant them. Thanks Mamya X. Last time I grew them I had hundreds!!

What did I miss?? Lol
not too late..pick the beans before the seeds develop as above, spray with water to help pollination. Only let the seeds develop in the last of the crop for sowing next year if they aren't F1 hybrids.
We have optimistically just planted seed again. The first lot, planted at the right time must have been wiped out by cold and wet. Just in time to get a late harvest, I reckon - will report back.
