Boiler Query

I was about to turn on my heating for the first time and noticed a bit of moisture on the work surfaces below. There was wet on the under edge of the boiler. Is this cause for concern?

Possibly, but could be condensation from kitchen if that's wher it's located.If you have not had boiler on, do it and see if it gets worse, after drying casing.
If you have manuals, see how to get casing off and do an inspection.
But it's a good idea to do a health check of all rads/valves when boiler is up and running.

If a gas boiler read manual before removing any casing. I some cases the casing constitutes part of the air flow through the boiler and if disturbed can cause a CO leak.

I would get it checked out by professionals. We had a similar sort of problem with our boiler earlier this year, and all the gas engineers who came said it was condensation. But it persisted. Eventually, after umpteen visits, a gas engineer realised that some of the seals on the pipework left a lot to be desired, re-sealed them properly, and the problem has now disappeared.

I doubt very much I'll be removing any casings...I'm a non- DIY older lady. I know my limitations.
I'll turn it on later and see what happens. The moisture I've seen so far is very minimal...hope it stays that way.
