Most blackcurrant varieties flower in April or May.

See the video here for possible causes of non-flowering:

I have got a redcurrant which didn’t flower or do anything much for the first three years then all of a sudden it really burst into growth. This year I reckon I will get about a punnet of fruit off it which isn’t bad considering its part of a mixed hedge around my tortoise pen.
Probably fruits around harvest festival time. Would have expected it to flower by now. They flower on last year’s growth. Maybe it doesn't have a previous year's growth worth flowering on yet ?
I bought one from Aldi last year. It is in a patio pot. It only had about 6 flowers on it last year (plus blackcurrant gall midge which might have had an effect) but this year there have been quite a few flowers. It also has fruit, some of which is turning black already.
They can sometimes be slow to establish and I would guess, this is the case with yours.
On most varieties, the flowers are small and insignificant and come in early and late varieties.
Mine tend to get stripped by wood pigeons and squirrels, if I don't net them over.
