What Would Be A Rough Price For Having A Shaver Socket Put In ?
9 Answers
I've had a quote for a shaver socket to be put on a wall, coming off the box for an extractor fan on the other side of the wall. The electrician said there wasn't the power to put in a 3 pin socket, only a 2 pin.
He's quoted nearly £25 for the socket & fittings (?), + £40 labour. Does that sound about right ?
Thanks

Also need a box and some cable, so £25 not excessive, depending on the make of the shaver socket.

CW1..yes, because he is extending a circuit, a Minor Works cert would be required confirming that basic tests and checks have been carried out.Building control notification wont be required. With regards to your shower pump, its simply a case of turning off the water..loosening the connections ..keeping a bowl handy to catch any water still in the pump etc..taking out the pump and flexi pipes and re-joining the pipes. If you're not sure get someone in.
