Tall Plant Needed

Need to put tall plant/ tree next to fence to screen shed directly up to other side of fence on neighbours side..has anyone any ideas, please.

North facing, sheltered, evergreen? Lots of choice really. Do you need something that will grow quickly to provide screen? Is the fence yours to allow fixings ?

Perhaps a Spiraea Japonica would do the job. It will thrive in most conditions and some have a lovely colour.

Bamboo is good for growing quickly, I've used it for hiding a shed. Certain species grow faster than others so a little research is required. Out of interest there is one which grows extremely fast, probable too fast for your purpose but grows at the rare of 35" per day. This has been calculated as 0.00002 MPH!

NEEDS to be tall now..evergreen would be good..sheltered place...Fence is ours.

Something evergreen, might be the way to go, so it'l give a year-round screening.
Pyracantha will also provide the added bonus of attractive flowers, berries and thorns to deter would-be intruders.

Nice one togo! I have the golden form of that elder, which is equally as attractive.

Don't get bamboo! Most of them are very invasive!
