Having done some gardening over the weekend I've realised that my top 3 most hated weeds all begin with B- bramble, bindweed and buttercup. What are your 3 worst weeds in the garden?

Our golf course is also overgrown with Himalayan Balsam, which I'm led to believe is the next most difficult plant to remove after Japanese Knot weed. Balsam grows up to 10ft tall in a matter of weeks.

In my experience, ground ivy.
I can't beat it so I try to out-compete it with other ground covering plants like Synphytum ibericum, which comes up earlier.
Mulching makes it a bit easier to pull up too.
